About the Practice

"Like many veterinarians, I chose to go to veterinary school because I was passionate about helping animals. I knew euthanasia was part of veterinary medicine, but I never imagined it would become such a meaningful aspect of my work."

"My first job was as a small animal and exotics veterinarian. I cared for dogs and cats, as well as ferrets, rats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, chickens, and more. I loved working with all of these species, but many have relatively short life spans. Euthanasia was one of the hardest, and most profound, parts of my job. I came to understand how deeply painful it is to lose a family member, regardless of their species."

"In my personal life, I have adopted many senior and special-needs dogs over the years. They filled our home with love and joy, but their time with us was never long enough. Saying goodbye never gets easier, but each goodbye reinforced what I have come to believe: it is truly a privilege to be able to ease an animal's suffering while supporting their family through one of life's most difficult moments."
